The British Open Tennis `Wimbledon` ads to increase the total prize fund by 7 percent to 26.75 million pounds (40.9 million dollars). The news said the chairman of the "All England Club" Philip Brook. So the legendary tournament on grass in London is the richest in the Grand Slam.
The increase of the money from 2011 until today is with the whopping 152%.
The champions will receive a single check for 1.88 million pounds. For comparison, last year Novak Djokovic and Petra Kvitova took each 1.76 million.
Brook said that the tennis players who drop out in the first round of the main draw of "Wimbledon" will leave with 29,000.
Earlier and "Roland Garros" announced an increase of the prize money for this year by 12 percent to 29.61 million dollars.

Mourinho: Wimbledon means history
The Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho appears in a video, launched the third Grand Slam of the season - Wimbledon.
Ronaldo, who is popular in the media with his nickname "the special", deemed the final match of "All England Club" the most important game of the year.
"Wimbledon is much more than a Grand Slam, it is a special tournament. You can feel the history. This is felt by the victory of Murray (2013). Nadal against Djokovic, French or American court is the same. On Wimbledon is not the same", said Mourinho his opinion.
It is expected that this year the Portuguese to be in the stands on Wimbledon, especially for the decisive battles of the last days of the race.
Wimbledon 2015 starts on June the 29th and will be two weeks.

David Luiz and Thiago Motta will miss the game against Barcelona
Paris Saint Germain players David Luiz and Thiago Motta will miss the important match of the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Barcelona.
Both have injuries and Laurent Blanc confirmed that they are out of the clash with Barca.
"David Luiz will miss weeks and Mota - 10 days," said Blanc.
"Lucas Moura is almost ready to play, but we will decide at the last moment whether it is 100% recovered."
"I made a mistake with Cavani: I had to bring him out even at the break. He knows it, I told him, but he said he still can play. I told him that I would leave him on the field for 15-20 minutes more. I took him out on 15th and he criticizes me that do not let him to play more, "said Blanc about the case with Cavani.
