Federer on a tenth semifinal at Wimbledon

The second placed at Wimbledon Roger Federer qualified for the semifinals of the Grand Slam tournament. Seven-times champion "All England Club" beat No12 Gilles Simon from France with 6:3, 7:5, 6:2 for 94 minutes straight playing time.

For Federer it is the tenth semi-final in London. An interesting fact is that he has never failed in this phase, but he has reached the final via tennis-picks game.

Federer took an excellent advantage as he sampled in the marathon second game and then solidified for 3:0. At that moment came pouring rain and the match was stopped. At the injury time everything went under the dictation of the recorder of Grand Slams. In the ninth game he served for the set and won it with his fourth ace.

In the seventh game of the second part the aggressive game of the Swiss brought him two break points and he managed at the first to lead with 4:3. At 5:4 Federer served for winning the part, but played a weak game and Simon returned the break. Ambitious, Roger answered in a champion`s way immediately and broke again. And he just started to feed again in the 12th game and the rain stopped for the second time game. The renewal was at 15:0 for the Swiss. The Frenchman did not touch the ball until the end of the set, because the marginal concentrated Federer scored three consecutive aces.

Roger continued racing and broke in the opening game of the next part the embarrassed Simon. Then Federer repeat the exercise for 5: 2 and already served for the victory. Federer quickly reached 40:15. In the first match point he contrived to make a double fault, but won the second outplaying of the net and deserved the triumph.

The finalist of 2014 ended the game with 36 winning hits (11 aces) against 22 unforced errors. Gilles Simon recorded 15 winners and 21 errors.
