21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic will receive a visa to Australia and will be able to participate in the Australian Open, the Guardian reports.
According to the publication, Immigration Minister Andrew Giles will lift a three-year ban on entry into the country. In order to do this, the minister must be sure that there are compelling circumstances that allow a person with an annulled visa to return.
Recall that Djokovic automatically received an entry ban after his visa was canceled. The past government officially recognized him as a threat to public safety because he could provoke anti-vaccination sentiment.
